How To Transform Your Life In 3 Steps

We recently received an email from one of our readers asking: “What steps should a young person take to change or transform their life?”

We thought that was a very good question and thought it would be great to answer the question not only for this young man but for all of our readers as well. The great philosopher Plato is credited with saying “An unexamined life is not worth living.” Hopefully, this person was examining their life and felt the need for some changes, which is awesome. For our faithful readers, you know we are all about you living your most productive life.

In this article, we are going to share 3 steps you can take to transform your life. But before we share these life keys with you, we want to first give you some framework and maybe some ideas to transform your life.

Questions are a great way to get your mind working. The better your questions the better your answers in life will be. Here are a few questions you should consider asking yourself:

  1. Am I happy with my current life?
  2. Am I using my skills and talents in the most effective way?
  3. Are there any small changes I could make today?
  4. What do I need to start doing to improve my life?
  5. What do I need to stop doing to improve my life?

These are 5 great questions to ask yourself on a regular basis. The biggest room in the world is the room for improvement. When we start to examine our life and to unlock the potential on the inside of us, we begin the journey to transform our lives.

Let’s get into the 3 steps we believe will help you transform your life. We like to call these the 3 P’s of Transformation. We learned about the 3 P’s of Transformation from Dr. Will Moreland, who is our featured cover story this month. He shared his 3 P’s during a recent event and we thought it would be great to share them with our young reader who sent the question in, as well with all of you. Dr. Will credits the 3 P’s to how he transformed his life. From gang banging to being one of the Top Speakers in America.

Step One

If you are going to transform your life, step one is; change the PLACES you go. That’s right. Outside of work or school, where do you invest most of your time? Our environments play a huge role in helping us transform our lives. If you were to take an inventory of where you invest your time, would you say that you were getting a good return on that investment? The quality of the places you go will determine so many things for you.

Step Two

The second step in this process is to change the PEOPLE you associate with. This is easier when you adhere to step number one. The better the places, the better the people. We have all heard the old adage “Birds of a feather, flock together.” You want to accomplish extraordinary things in life, you must hang with, associate with and learn from people that are doing extraordinary things in life. Your highest level of success will not have anything to do with what you do, but who you connect with. Relationships are very vital to you transforming your life.

Step Three

The final step is to change your PHILOSOPHY. What is your philosophy about life? Is it good or bad? Do you believe the forces are working for you or against you? Our thinking is responsible for 88% of our success in life. Perspective is everything. Henry Ford was quoted as saying “Whether you think you can, or you think you can’t–you’re right.” Your mind is going to be your strongest ally and tool to you transforming your life. When you get, your mind working for you, rather than against you, you are well on your way.

There they are, the 3 steps that will help you transform your life. Evaluate your life against these three ideas. Check the Places you go. Are they good environments that will help you become your best self? Who is in your inner circle? Are they helping you or hindering you? And lastly, what is your philosophy. There is a proverb that says “As a man thinketh, so is he.” Your thoughts are your reality.

Hope these ideas help you transform into the person you were destined to be!
