Global leaders unite for Golden Rule Civility Day.
SEPTEMBER 22, 2018 – An international group of leaders gathered for a day of civility to pass kindness around the globe. This campaign was created to bring awareness to the need for civility worldwide. This worldwide initiative was founded by Dr. Clyde Rivers and Dr. Lew Bayer and set aside as Golden Rule Civility Day.
The Golden Rule Civility Initiative was set up as an action plan for building a global culture of honor. Golden Rule Civility requires Human kindness, Non-judgement, and Forgiveness. These include choosing to treat others humanely and with care; accepting differences without judgment; being empathetic to the human condition; and acknowledging each individual’s unique gifts and equal value. It is important to get everyone to understand civility and the art of being kind without judgment.
On Saturday, September 22, 2018, at 12:00 pm EST a Facebook live series was hosted by THE CIVILITY ACADEMY and the “Civilized Presence” talk show with host Louisa Akaiso – known as the “Oprah of Civility.” The broadcast featured top speakers and leaders from around the globe. The topic of discussion was “The Importance of Change: The Dialogue for Golden Rule Civility.”
Special guest speakers included:
Dr. Clyde Rivers (USA) – Honorary Ambassador at Large of the Republic of Burundi, Author, and co-Founder of Golden Rule Civility Initiative.
Dr. Vernet Alin Joseph (Mesa, Arizona)- World Civility Ambassador, Author, America’s #1 Productivity Consultant Speaker & Strategist, President of Gigaré Lifestyle Magazine.
Joanne Hoo Nyee Kuen (Malaysia)- Certified Master Civility Trainer.

The Golden Rule Civility Day challenge was issued for all to participate! The instructions were simple, copy the banner with the Golden Rule Civility Badge and pass it on to someone, after writing something kind, something personal with the person’s name you’re sending the banner to. Ask them to pass that banner on to at least 10 people. Share the banner and challenge on your page. Invite friends, colleagues, and family to be part of this world-changing event.
